He said he was busy preparing dinner (His recipes of yummy dishes are popular on his insta handle too)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I remembered him saying he was doing laundry when I had called him a few days back. He belongs to yesteryear&#8217;s Gen. I was a little taken aback by his reply. I knew he is a mechanical engineer and a yoga guru. But never anticipated he would do the house chores like cooking, laundry etc on a regular basis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think he guessed my confusion and said \u201c hey, my wife is working outside the house and I work inside the house. Is there anything wrong with that?\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I mumbled \u201cNo no, but to be honest, this is so new to me!\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, this Gen is very much into this transaction of role reversal. While the wife toils at the office, the husband takes care of the house management. If it&#8217;s not a full commitment, at least the husband shares the load of house chores too.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a welcoming change as both the partners should be responsible for managing the home they both are building together. There is no demarcation as to who is the so-called breadwinner of the household now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>A POETIC TRIBUTE TO ALL THOSE MEN WHO APPRECIATE THE CONTRIBUTION OF HOUSEWIVES AND ALSO CONTRIBUTE MAJORLY WHILE RUNNING THE HOUSE SUCCESSFULLY..<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">While other men are busy, <br>getting ready to go to office, <br>He is very busy waking the children up<br>getting them ready for the school, <br>keeping the freshly brewed coffee <br>and hot breakfast on the table <br>Packing the lunch boxes for <br>wifey and children<br>With all the care taken about<br>The nutrition <br><br>While other men are busy<br>in their respective workplace<br>He is very busy in his work place<br>THE HOME!<br>Cleaning, dusting, washing, laundry <br>all are taken care of<br>Calling wife in between to ask <br>what would she prefer for the dinner<br>is the best part of his chores<br><br>While other men are relaxing<br>in the evening with a cup of tea <br>he is very busy with the children<br>helping them to finish their Homeworks<br>Motivating, coaxing them to study<br>Presenting steamy hot tea to the tired wife<br>Chit chatting with her about her day <br><br>While other men are busy<br>watching the TV news, sports etc,  <br>he is very busy preparing dinner for the family<br>Catering to the whims of the family <br>Giving all the comfort to the family<br>Putting children to bed<br><br>While other men are busy<br>sleeping cozily under the blanket<br>He is very busy<br>preparing for the next day <br>before he puts his feet up! <br><br>He is the house hubby<br>Opted for the housework<br>over the office work<br>Bearing the responsibility of<br>running the house as <br>the wife goes out for work<br>Making the life easy for <br>wife and kids<br><br>Is he being accepted in our society<br>where he isn't following the said rules<br>'Ridicule and talk behind the back' <br>are things he is getting from people outside<br>Even the elders of home aren't comfortable<br><br>Tell me, is there anything wrong with that? <br>Tending to the family, whether being in the house<br>or being outside, is the duty of the man\/woman<br>So, he is rightfully right<br>Three cheers to his clan who are considerate <br>and opt for the most difficult job of the world \"HOUSE HUBBY\" <\/pre>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong><em>There were some movies like (Ki &amp; Ka, Daawat-e-ishq etc) also made on the same theme where the man opts for role reversal and gets rebuttals. It&#8217;s not easy to break societal norms and we see very few exceptions.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In the western world this isn&#8217;t a big deal at all. People don&#8217;t fix roles there. No bias on \u201cwho does what?\u201d. Everything and anything is accepted and people aren&#8217;t being ridiculed for their work.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Some contemplations:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Will our patriarchal society ever accept a man sharing the household responsibilities with the wife?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Will the women folk feel comfortable to welcome this newness in their life?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What will the children of such families feel\/undergo as the people around will be responding differently to their father being at home while the mother goes out for work<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your views are most welcome and interactions only can bring clarity to our minds\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><em><strong>While celebrating the international women&#8217;s day on 8th of March, this interesting topic of freeing women of their fixed duties made sense to me..
